Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if I didn’t receive my bill?
Bills are mailed at the beginning of the month. If you haven’t received yours by the 4th, please contact utilitybilling [at] citypalmetto.com or call 770-463-3377, or check the online payment portal at CITY OF PALMETTO, GEORGIA - Municipal Online Services. Non-receipt of a bill does not remove the obligation to pay for service.

How do I request reconnection of service after hours?
Please send confirmation of payment to utilitybilling [at] citypalmetto.com (utilitybilling[at]citypalmetto[dot]com)

How are sewer charges calculated?
Sewer charges are based on your water consumption. When water usage increases, your sewer charge will increase accordingly.

What if I can’t pay by the due date?
You may request a payment arrangement before the 22nd of the month. Extensions are not guaranteed and may require partial payment to qualify.

Why was my bill higher this month?
Longer billing cycles, leaks, or increased water use (lawn watering, washing cars, guests, etc.) can affect usage. If usage seems unusually high, request a meter re-read through our office.

The September 2025 utility bills reflected a 22-day billing cycle due to the City’s software migration. The October 2025 bill covers a 42-day billing cycle to bring all accounts back on schedule. Future billing periods will return to the regular schedule.

Who should I contact for a leak adjustment?
Submit a Leak Adjustment Request Form with repair documentation within 30 days of your high bill.
