Administration

The Administration is responsible for:

  • Acting as the point of contact for utility services and billing
  • Voicing citizen concerns or complaints and providing information
  • Accounting functions of the City, including preparation and monitoring of the annual budget
  • Maintaining official records, including all City ordinances, resolutions, policies, and minutes
  • Coordinating personnel services for the City

FY 2026 (July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026) PROPOSED BUDGET NOTICE OF BUDGET PUBLIC HEARINGS AND ADOPTION

The Palmetto City Council proposed FY 2026 budget covering fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026 will be available at the City Community Center located at 595 Main Street, 
Palmetto, Georgia 30268 during normal business hours and on the city website, beginning August 4th, 2025. The City Council will conduct one public hearing regarding the proposed budget and hold a meeting to consider adoption of the budget according to the schedule below:

• Budget Public Hearing – August 11, 2025, 5:30 pm, City Community Center located at 595 Main Street, Palmetto, Georgia 30268

• Budget Adoption – August 25, 2025, 5:30 pm, City Community Center located at 595 Main Street, Palmetto, Georgia 30268

The public is invited to attend both the budget public hearing and adoption meeting.
