Mission Statement

The mission of the Palmetto Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in the City of Palmetto by working cooperatively with the public, enforcing ordinances and laws, preserving the peace, preventing crime and providing a safe environment within our community.

Palmetto Police Officers are dedicated to:

Improving the quality of community life through the provision of quality services.

Improving the working environment through open and honest communication and concern for one another.

Engaging in ethical behavior which reflects the integrity of public safety professionals.

The Police Department consists of twenty sworn officers including the Police Chief, detectives and patrol officers.
