Code Enforcement

Functions

The primary functions of the Code Enforcement Officer are:

  • To educate the public in code issues
  • To work with the citizens of our community
  • To monitor soil erosion, sedimentation control and stormwater management.

We are committed to professional code enforcement that is responsive to our citizens. In addition, the Code Enforcement Officer privately enforces regulations as his case load allows. More information on each of these violation types can by located by referring to the Palmetto Code of Ordinances.

Complaints

The Code Enforcement Officer's workload is principally complaint-generated. The Department receives a substantial number of complaints each year concerning alleged violations of the City Code of Laws and Ordinances.

Each one is investigated to determine whether a violation exists. File a Complaint with Palmetto Code Enforcement.
