Fulton County Animal Services Encourages You to

‘Adopt-A-Sweetheart’
 
The Valentine’s Day Pet Adoption Event for County residents and employees to
Adopt a Pet. Your Best Friend Is Waiting!    
 
On Valentine’s Day the traditional gifts of candy and roses are usually given, but why not give a gift that brings smiles, fun and happiness to your Valentine?  ‘Adopt-A-Sweetheart’ pet and give it a loving home on Valentines Day.
 
Fulton County Animal Services is hosting a week-long ‘Adopt-A-Sweetheart’ event on February 1, 2010 through February 14, 2010 at Fulton County Animal Services located at 860 Marietta Boulevard Atlanta, Georgia 30318. The adoption hours are: Monday through Thursdays From 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday’s from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
 
On Friday of that week, February 12, 2010 Fulton County Animal Services will host its ‘Adopt-A-Sweetheart’ event for County Employees and those visiting the government center in the atrium of the Fulton County Government Building located at 141 Pryor Street.  The event will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
 
Saturday, February 13, 2010 county residents are invited to a special ‘Adopt-A-Sweetheart’ event where on this day they will be able to get their photos taken with their new valentine pet and receive free gifts with their pet adoption. This special event will also take place at Fulton County Animal Services located at 860 Marietta Boulevard Atlanta, GA 30318 from 10:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. 
 
Prospective adopters must complete a short adoption application and contract. There is an adoption fee of $85.00 for dogs and $65.00 for cats. This includes a health exam, spay/neuter,de-wormer, booster shot, heartworm test, fecal test, rabies shot and a pet license. Adopters can usually take their new pet home the same day. Forms of payment include cash, check and credit card (Visa or MasterCard only).

Cooking Oil Recycling - Tuesday, June 23, 2009

RECYCLE COOKING GREASE AND OILS

Help prevent clogged sewers by recycling your kitchen grease.  The new recycling bin is located behind the newspaper recycle bins and the Community Garden at Wayside Park.  No trash, water or motor oil, please.

 
WATER RESTRICTIONS - Friday, June 12, 2009
Palmetto Watering Restrictions
 
 
The State of Georgia has returned to a
non-drought schedule for outdoor water use. Under a non-drought schedule, outdoor water use is allowed three days a week on assigned days using odd and even-numbered addresses.
 
Odd: Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday
 
Even: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday
 
 
Water use may occur at any time of the day on the assigned days, but to be water efficient, landscape watering should not occur between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on any day.
 
The Following is prohibited:
 
A.)     Using hydrants for any purpose other than firefighting, public health and safety, or Flushing.
 
B.)     Outdoor watering on Friday.
